This book is the catalog of Thailand’s exhibition in the International Architecture Exhibition, The 17th Venice Biennale, organized by La Biennale di Venezia under the theme ‘How will we live together?’. The concept of the theme in this Biennale is in line with the relationship and way of life between the elephants and the Kui people in Surin Province and thus is the origin of the Thailand exhibition “elephant” and the structure “Ban Khon Ban Chang” designed by Asst. Prof. Boonserm Premthada and curated by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Apiradi Kasemsuk, with support from the Office of Contemporary Art and Culture, Ministry of Culture and the Association of Siamese Architects under Royal Patronage. 

The book features the origin and story of the exhibition, including the design since the beginning of the project, activities throughout the program, field visits, presented through interviews with people related to elephants from different perspectives, photographs from the field visit, architectural drawings, including the installation of works both in Thailand and at the exhibition space at the Biennale.
